Anahit Bracelet - New Tutorial on Etsy

There is a fresh beading tutorial in my Etsy shop!

All you need is size 11°delica beads, 4mm faceted rounds,bicones or cubes, a clasp, needle and thread and some free time to create!
You also need to have some experience with seed beadweaving, know how tie the knots and add thread. The step-by step instructions with clear explanations are easy to follow and once you figure out the basic stitch the bracelet doesn´t take too long. That means you can stitch a couple of them, if you want, and to experiment with colour combinations.

Here are some samples using different beads: 4mm bicones, czech FP, cubes...

Three of a Kind

I rarely like doing two similar things with the same pattern, even to make a second earring in a pair is almost like a torture for me. But this is an exception: I made not two, but THREE netted collars, all with the same pattern. The difference is only in colours, sizes of seed beads and types of accent beads.
The first collar is earthy:

The Northern Flower Pendant

The delicate pendant is "constructed" entirely of tiny seed beads and Swarovski crystals, handstitched together using Fireline beading thread. The colours are tanzanite, amethyst, light pink, rainbow grey and light purple. In the centre of attention lies round Swarovski rivoli crystal.

Amber Spikelet Bracelet

This bracelet is inspired by nature. Imagine a stroll along a golden field, spikelets catching and reflecting the sun´s warmth.

I used beautiful czech glass beads with a travertine finish, they add to an organic feeling of the bracelet, and japanese and czech seed beads in the shades of topaz, olivine and antiqued brass. The clasp is a metal button and beaded loop.

Beaded Jewellery Care Recommendations

My jewellery is made from glass seed beads, crystal and faceted beads and thread. The materials used are the highest quality. However, as any other handmade item it requires special care.
I recommend to store your beadwoven items in the original package in a dry place away from direct sunlight. To store your bead jewellery, you can also use a soft pouch which will prevent beads from scratching. Avoid dropping your beadwoven jewelry onto hard surfaces.
Do not wear beadwoven jewellery when doing dishes, taking showers or swimming, do not expose it to detergents, chemicals or perfume. Please always take it off before going to bed.
The durability of beadwoven items depends a lot on following of these recommendations for care.
As well as any other piece of jewellery, beadwoven items are not for small children´s hands! Do not let children play with them.
When properly cared for, your beadwoven jewellery can be enjoyed and serve you for more than one season.

This july and the first half of august have been the busiest for me, beadingwise, of course:))
My friend in Slovakia discovered the beading jewellery through my work and some links to e.g. biser.info, a russian beading community which I am happy to be a part of. After that, the orders from Slovakia started coming on a daily basis. Some of her friends joined the craze:)))

Im looking forward to going for holidays to Slovakia. Three weeks free of work, irish weather and, unfortunately, of beading. Plus no polymer clay sessions, which is the new type of craft Ive taken up recently. Here are some examples of my recent creations:

The one above is a beaded pendant;

This is a bracelet whit two beaded beads, one works as a toggle, and two beaded polymer clay cabochons. Im not too happy about it, the weight is not distributed evenly. Some altering is planned when I come back from my holidays.

And this is a beaded PC cabo ready to be incorporated into ...? maybe bracelet? I am leaving this decision for later, too.
Its time to relax now!

Little Gem Necklace

The large oval bead is set in the square herringbone rope woven with two sizes of seedbeads - the inner circle 2mm and outer 3 mm. I used czech glass beads and japanese seed beads. The same large oval bead is used as a clasp.

3D - ndbele bracelet

Crystal, amethyst and honey coloured bracelet is an "accident". I wanted to learn tubular ndbele stitch, but planned to make it kind of flat. I ran out of thin Nymo and used a harder and thicker fishing line. The bracelet is stiff and the 3D effect is enhanced.
I tried to make another one with thinner thread, but was not as happy with the result and ripped it. So that thick 0,25mm fishing line will finally be of some use!

Chunky Turkish Crochet bracelet

3mm Japanese green grass frosted seed beads and 5 mm dark topaz frosted beads which I bought in Prague two years ago, they might be japanese?

I recommend this technique to those who havent much patience, especially using bigger beads you make ropes ultra fast!

Welcome to my new craft blog! I have taken up beading a few months ago and the amount of my jewellery is growing steadily, as well as all sort of information, inspiration, and links connecting to the world of beading and other crafts.
I have always been a crafty person, growing up in artists family, and later studying visual arts. Both my grannies were knitting, crochetting, embroidering, and, of course, cooking, and shared their tricks with me.
I hope to get in contact with people with similar interests as well as to show my work in this blog!
